Does going to therapy mean I am weak?

No, it means you have the strength to face and explore your difficulties. Being weak means bottling up emotions or assuaging them by substances or other addictions. Life is hard. We all need support throughout our life. Therapy provides validation, support, and tools to help with difficulties. Therapy also has the ability to encourage your innate strengths.

At its core, therapy provides validation and understanding for your struggles that will help you be more effective in life.



As social beings, we can heal and grow in relationships. Carl Rodgers coined the term, “unconditional positive regard” which naturally informs my approach.  It is more than just being nice, it also means being authentic.
